On mac it’s different. Crowdstrike leaks memory so much my laptop grinds to a halt. It prevents both me and any bad actor from using it.

I regretfully completely understand Wedson's frustrations. lore.kernel.org/lkml/202408282… A subset of C kernel developers just seem determined to make the lives of the Rust maintainers as difficult as possible. They don't see Rust as having value and would rather it just goes away.

In Rust 1.81 sort() now panics if the Ord implementation does not provide a total order. Fairly certain that this is going to cause some issues for existing code. Curious how this plays out.

I didn’t mind tight deadlines as much. For me it was more that the pay in gamedev is nowhere near what would be fair for the effort we put in. The best software engineers i know are (ex) gamedevs, but for many it’s not worth in the long run despite the love for the craft.
