I have officially graduated with my PhD in Measurement, Quantitative Methods, and Learning Sciences!!!! This wouldn’t have been possible with out the support of my community and advisor Dr. Allison Master, @allisonmaster.bsky.social 🖤❤️ & I’m the first PhD in my family, so this moment was extra special.

Setting up for our 🎉data party 🎉 at WeTeach_CS, weteachcs.bsky.social! Time to eat cupcakes, dig into some data, and think deeply about ways to promote students’ sense of belonging in computer science. #cs4yall

Dr.Dr. Allison Master, @allisonmaster.bsky.social and I had so much fun conducting our workshop at the WeTeach_CS, weteachcs.bsky.social summit this past month! We shared best practices for improving students’ sense of belonging in computer science courses and had a data party where we let the teachers interact with our data!!

Very excited to have been selected for University of Houston's Assistant Professor Excellence Speaker Series! Looking forward to the chance to share our work with my community on Sept. 27 at 12:15pm Central. Send me a message if you're interested in the virtual Teams link!

So honored to be recognized at #SREE23 as a Researcher of Color Mentored Travel Award recipient & represent Digital Promise! I’ve had an amazing time meeting & learning from other researchers of color, methodologists & practitioners in education.

It is an honor to be apart of this list in the The Baltimore Sun! The Meyerhoff Scholars program made pursuing & earning a PhD a true reality for me. I will always be grateful for this program and the amazing friends turned family I met along the way 🖤💛 Thank you Mr. Meyerhoff!!!

I am very excited to share my first blog post Digital Promise! We 1) highlight STEM programs actively increasing diversity in the field and 2) evaluate students experiences in statistics courses at minority serving institutions (MSIs) and non- MSIs. digitalpromise.org/2024/01/11/how…
