I finally had the time to break down my latest paper from MRes Primate Biology Behaviour & Conservation UoR and California National Primate Research Center w/ Darcy Hannibal, @SemplePrimate, and Brenda McCowan. Check out the thread below!
Thanks to the travel ban, it took me half a year to enter the US. Now I'm looking forward to finally start my postdoc at Rockefeller University
Cool new preprint from my old lab Primatenzentrum DPZ : Visuomotor adaptation in 3D with a super cool VR (or rather AR) setup. Was fun to try it out myself. Congrats to Enrico, Pierre Morel, Joscha, and Alex biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
There are so many new animal markerless pose estimation algorithms. All of which are compared to existing methods, especially DeepLabCut 🦄 Since performance depends on training data quality, I'm never sure if this is a fair comparison. Does any benchmark dataset exist?

I'm really grateful to the Humboldt-Stiftung for my Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship.🙂This fellowship is a great opportunity for Germans to gain experience abroad as a Postdoc!
*Thrilled* to share our latest work with Seb Tremblay! Pioneering work in rodents from Anne Churchland's group showed that spontaneous movements dominate neural dynamics across the whole brain. Is this also the case in macaque monkeys ? biorxiv.org/content/10.110… 🧵👇
I'm pleased to announce that our paper on information dynamics and motor activity in behaving macaques is finally out in PNAS! A great collaboration between Olaf Sporns Benjamin Dann Stefan Schaffelhofer and Hans Scherberger pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…
