I'll be speaking on a panel on Biodiversity Change and Technology, AI, and Data at the IUBS: Unifying Biology through diversity Science Policy Forum at 11:40 today in Sea Flower in the Blue Zone!

Hundreds of salmon are now spawning in Klamath River tributaries above the 4 recently dismantled dams for the first time 60 & 112 years. It is exciting and bodes well for the future. Still, it will take several years for fish runs to recover & there is still much more work to do.

All of this means that the paradigm will soon shift from scaling to "what can we do with what we have". I think the paradigm of "how do we help people be more productive with AI" is the best mindset forward. This mindset is about processes and people rather than technology.
