Can only be time for the joys of mandatory e-learning before returning to work after 11 months of adoption leave. Why. So. Stupid.

perhaps an unfashionable opinion, but why does this increasingly fall to EDs? we’re here to practice Emergency Medicine, but we get asked to do more and more screening/public health/preventative medicine/social care. and all within 4h or we get fined.

Moving onto my fourteenth job since graduating; time for a new ID badge! (Obviously keeping the photo from pre-children when I looked fresh faced and youthful!) Hello ST5 👋

My husband has a canny resemblance to Michael Gove and my all time favourite thing is to send him pics of “himself” on the news and question everything he says. 😂🤦‍♀️

RCEM calls for RSV vaccine programme to be implemented ‘as soon as possible’ after election | RCEM. It could be very helpful for this winter rcem.ac.uk/rcem-calls-for…

Can’t face watching this programme because I know what it will show and I am sick of seeing it every day. Thankful for Adrian and RCEM not being ashamed to name it and call it out.

last night there was a shocking tv expose on NHS A&E care. But what's truly shocking is that for those of us who work in A&E, we're not shocked. We have become normalised to the unacceptable. The unacceptable is now the accepted norm. Society cannot continue to accept

Normalise calling 80% LTFT doctors “full time” doctors. The 40 hours a week they work is more than any AFC staff is contracted for Doctors who work an average of 48 hours a week should be called something else. “Overtime doctors” “Overcooked doctors” Suggestions welcome

Analise Harrison Surgeons wouldn’t operate in a store room Medical specialists wouldn’t conduct clinics in the car park Oncologists wouldn’t provide chemotherapy in the canteen But Emergency Medicine specialists provide care on the corridor?

First night shift today in nearly 14 months. Midnight munchies purchased, dinner on a timer in the oven for this evening, ear plugs in and a blackout bedroom ready for that all important nap … 🤞 Have I missed anything?! It’s been a while!!
