I guess the fantasy of the “you’re all being distracted” line is that the US government and Biden would change course if more people applied pressure, but protests have been going nonstop since October and that administration have been telling everyone to go fuck themselves

I don’t know what’s been more clear from this massacre than the US will support Israel against the will of its people and against the will of the international community, and will sooner go against international courts, and destroy humanitarian agencies than to stop the killings

They’ve been pretty open and brazen in how little they care about the ceasefire and end of the occupation. Biden was lying about evidence and declaring himself a proud Zionist without any distractions necessary.

Not to dismiss how surreal it is to see and tweet about a silly sports game while people are being bombed to death, and to have Biden tweeting jokes, but I think the obvious thing has been that he doesn’t care about what people say. Even as he’s protested everywhere he goes.
