✅ College Football Playoff championship
✅ NCAA Final Four
✅ College World Series
✅ NCAA Frozen Four

Been a lot of fun work trips over the years that weren’t championships, but I’ve finally covered all four of these in person, for which I’m very grateful for 😃

Saddi probably never got enough credit for helping Beilein’s recruiting and big-man development, then helping ease the transition between Beilein and Howard.

Michigan made the Sweet Sixteen in five out of a possible seven seasons while he was in town. Impressive.

The most recent strategy from coaches/administrators has been to leak unverified NIL numbers to try and create blowback.

The median MBB P5 payroll in 2024 was $750k, according to 247Sports. A 29% 3-point shooter on an NIT team is likely not getting $500k

The Wolverines held a 32-22 edge in shots on goal, and a 73-41 lead in total shot attempts in the game. Yet Boston College made some great scoring opportunities count, made the clutch defensive plays, and came away with a 4-0 win.

FINAL: Boston College 4, Michigan 0

For the third straight year, the Wolverines' season ends in the Frozen Four semifinal.

Michigan has now made nine Frozen Fours since winning the national title in 1998, and is 1-9 in those appearances, including four straight losses.

So far this period, Michigan has a 23-4 edge in all shot attempts (on goal, wide, blocked), yet has been outscored, 1-0 in the frame.

For the game, the margin is 63-33 Michigan, yet BC has a 4-0 edge in goals.

GOAL: Boston College (likely) puts this one away with a wraparound, unassisted goal from Perreault. Is BC just that much faster, or is Michigan running out of gas? Either way, it's now 4-0 with 14:47 to go in the game.

Through two periods, Boston College leads Michigan, 3-0.

Wolverines up against it entering the third thanks to a brutal 45-second stretch. The Eagles haven't dominated the game, but they have struck hard when given a chance.

Boston College just scored two goals in 45 seconds. One, a wraparound that bounced off multiple skates in a 4-on-4. The second a breakaway by Gauthier.

Now 3-0 Eagles, and Michigan badly needs an aswer.

With 10:12 to go in the second period, BC still holds a 1-0 lead. Michigan leads in SOG, 12-7, and continues to generate some good looks, but no dice so far.

End of first period, and Boston College leads Michigan, 1-0. Wolverines led in shots, 9-6, and had some good looks, but an early 2-on-1 gave the Eagles the lone goal so far.

More penalty kill coming for Michigan, as Edwards is called for tripping. Michigan contingent of the crowd did not like that one.

Michigan holds a 6-1 shot advantage and is owning possession through eight minutes, but obviously BC converted on its opportunity so far.

GOAL: Boston College strikes first. Michigan got a couple early chances, but the Eagles convert on a 2-on-1 just 1:20 into the game. 1-0 BC
