After 4.5 years, It’s my *LAST* week at Hopkins Nursing! In that time I’ve got to know incredible people who are *ACTUALLY* changing the 🌎, touched issues I care about, and worked at @johnshopkins in the outbreak of COVID-19. Now I’m so excited for my next adventure with symplr!

What a day to quit being a social media manager.

All ready for my first day at symplr! Note: I put on a nice shirt for the picture, my new “work” style is “comfortable but I could run to target.”

What’s day 1️⃣ like at a fully remote company? ▫️@Symplr is headquartered in Houston, so company-wide business is on Central time. ▫️IT delivered my new equipment by mail and I set it up by myself (mostly) ▫️A full (zoom) calendar of orientation activities!

Day 2 of online orientation with @Symplr. One thing that's pretty cool is hearing a lot of Hopkins Nursing's nursing workforce talking points -- nursing shortage, healthcare silos -- from a software solutions perspective.

I feel really dorky how much I’m enjoying orientation 😁 I’ve worked in health for 11 years - research at WRAIR, regulation at FDA, and education at JHSON. It’s cool to learn about the insurance side now.

Health predates social for me, 11 years health, ~ 8 years social.
