.Governor Laura Kelly opposed a single rate, so we compromised with a dual rate plan. She deemed our other plans too costly, so we compromised by scaling back the size of the tax cut. It's time for the Governor to honor her campaign pledges and meet us in the middle. #ksleg

This plan passed with a bipartisan 108 votes in the House and 25 votes in the Senate. With a reduced fiscal note and the absence of a single rate, Governor Laura Kelly has exhausted her excuses. The only obstacle preventing sustainable tax cuts for ALL Kansans is her signature. #ksleg

SB37 is the latest tax plan passed by the KS Legislature. It cuts property & income taxes, eliminates state tax on Social Security & food. A chart of the income tax cuts for married couples follows. This plan cost $33 million less than HB2036. I hope the Governor signs it.
