The Nightingales were brilliant at Green Man. They were up against the music quiz at 12 noon - no contest. One of my highlights of the week.

I finally went to see the magnificent King Rocker today, all about Rob Lloyd, The Prefects and The Nightingales. Wonderfully fronted by Stewart Lee. Immediate trip across the street to Carnival Records after to pick up a couple of their later albums, which are new to me.
