Our recent publication. Naoki Kaneko found the upper limit of clot stiffness that the current stent retrievers can handle, which is about 100kPa (0.98atm). A radically different design or a different approach may be necessary to handle stiff clots. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33951972/

The silicone AVM models by Naoki Kaneko ⁦UCLA Neuroradiology⁩ are amazing for teaching embolization with EVOH! Used them at our neurovascular course ahed. I am amazed at the detail, and how it feels so similar to the real resistance of injecting an AVM. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32565379/

What a privilege to be part of the 2023 Thai Interventional Neuroradiology Meeting in the fascinating city of Bangkok, where I got to meet a wonderful group of Thai stroke neurologists and INR's and reconnect with many old friends and colleagues from across the US. Will be back !

Robotic thrombectomy using Corindus vs manual thrombectomy as of now. Future robots with future robot specific catheters will enable much better result.
