Hey look, it’s Big Oil’s *entire strategy.* It’s telling that this sentence could be placed in literally any article about climate action. In this case, they’re fighting against new reporting requirements—but like always, we’re ready to fight back for progress.

I get the question, “How can Biden fire up the climate base?” and the answer is: ceasefire.

This is an intersectional movement, but there’s also just basic moral clarity.

It’s hard to cheer about the US putting up solar panels when US bombs are dropping on children.

Everyone working on this at Shell Oil and at their lawyers Clifford Chance should be ashamed of themselves: deliberately trying to sabotage any sensible climate goal

And this after Shell ditched a key 2035 climate target and weakened another for 2030

Investing in climate adaptations now can save money — and lives — later, [Center for Climate Integrity President Richard Wiles] said.

“These costs are still coming,” Wiles said. “The next disaster will happen. This is just what it’s going to cost to prepare.”

Adapting to climate change will cost Los Angeles County $12.5 billion over the next 15 years, Center for Climate Integrity says — and that’s a conservative estimate that doesn’t include damage from extreme weather. Story by my Los Angeles Times colleague Hayley Smith: latimes.com/environment/st…

Communities are getting stuck with enormous climate costs, while the fossil fuel companies that caused this crisis — and lied about it — pay nothing.

It's time to hold Big Oil accountable and make polluters pay their fair share of the damage they've caused.
