Spend less time on "two-way door" decisions than "trapdoors." If the decision is reversible, the cost of analysis paralysis is often worse than making the wrong decision and reverting. (Originally a model from Amazon.) -- Kevin Graham at MicroConf

Just bought one of these GL.iNet travel routers to make it easier to connect to hotel WiFi while travelling. Instead of every device needing to login to the hotel wifi, this device authenticates once and then every device connected to it has access. gl-inet.com/products/gl-mt…

Saw this podcast for sale this morning and have a very strong inclination of which one it might be. Would be great to hear Acquisitions Anonymous Podcast do an episode on this deal: websiteclosers.com/businesses/awa… /cc Michael Girdley Mills Snell Bill D'Alessandro

There are two issues with not emailing your list regularly: 1. Dead email addresses that increase your bounce rate. 2. Unengaged subscribers who forget they signed up, and mark your emails as spam. Both of these can cause issues for your account. Send regularly to avoid this.

I abandoned reading a book for the first time ever today. And honestly, I should have done the same with the previous book I was reading too. But, the new one I picked up is great and I’m enjoying reading again.

Yet again FlightyApp saves the day - this time, ThaiVietjet had changed aircraft and removed my exit row seat reservation. Previously, it was domestic flight cancellations in the US with no email from the airlines earlier this year. Flighty is definitely worth the price.

During server migrations, it's so satisfying to watch the load and traffic immediately ramp up on the new server as traffic as the cutover occurs, and the old server rapidly ramp down.

Off to Bangkok today for the #WebProsAPACPartnerDay event. Left home at 6:50am, and was through security and at the departure gate at the airport by 7:01am.

We’re starting to see this same thing in the hosting industry, especially when it comes to items that the customer must submit a justification, e.g. when they want a lot of IPs connected to a server because they want to send email spam.

Today I shut down two small projects in the Site Arrow portfolio. It was sad and difficult, but the right thing to do for the focus of the business.

A great mental framework for SaaS Founders: Every support ticket is a failure of your systems. * Issues with the UI/workflows * Support docs not helpful * Marketing site lacking info about your offering * Technical bugs that need to be fixed Use them to drive improvements.

Masked Emails save the day again. I bought tickets to see the Houston Rockets while in the US, and created a unique email address for the purchase. I've received 4 emails from them, trying to sell season tickets, with no opt-out link. Deactivated that email this morning.

One of the best feelings is finding old code blocks that you've already written that achieve exactly what you are trying to do. Just cut 5 hours of work out of this new project.
