AI regulation suddenly became generative AI regulation and the low-tech systems causing the majority of harms today are out of scope. I feel like big tech is pulling a fast one on us with his marketing term.

i'm sometimes quite hopeful that AI language models and chatbots will have a rejuvenating effect on literary culture -- choking us with such a surfeit of bland and meaningless semi-language that people begin reaching for new forms of expression

Update: This is worse than I thought. Workers in Nigeria, Rwanda, and South Africa are also reporting that they are being blocked from the website or cannot create an account. It's possible that Scale AI suspended Remotasks far beyond just Kenya.
