Ortho Rotation Recap 1/4! I started off my journey with my home Sub-I at UF Orthopaedics! It was a privilege to gain a foundation of ortho knowledge from some incredible teachers, have my first experiences being on call, and get some moral support from my favorite furry friends!

Ortho Rotation Recap 2/4: I made my way back to #DUUUVAL and had a great experience working with and learning from the incredible Ortho team at UF Health Jacksonville! I also had the chance to practice at sawbones labs and see how 3D printing is being implemented in procedures like VDRO!

Ortho Rotation Recap 3/4: #FloridaMan braves the great NORTHEAST! I spent an incredible month with rutgersrwjortho in New Brunswick, NJ—I learned from some very talented surgeons, played with distal radius plates, and was spoiled silly with food to get through the late nights!

Ortho Rotation Recap 4/4: I finished out the journey with an awesome month at AdventHealth Central Florida & Rothman Orthopaedics FL in Orlando! I met some of the most intelligent and kind mentors and teachers, and I even got to have some fun at an Orlando Magic game thanks to the great Luke S. Oh, MD!

It was great getting to catch up with my incredible ortho/research mentor, Dr. Srinivasan! We first crossed paths when he came to UF in 2021 to complete a second fellowship in shoulder/elbow, and this was my first time seeing him since he returned to Texas a year and a half ago!

My fiancée Alex Rodriguez, MPH and I have been big fans of the “Gator Love Stories” series for years, and it’s an honor to be featured in this year’s edition! Thank you UF Medicine, and Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
