Here is my “controversial” stance. If #NotreDame had beaten Miami & both were now 10-2 & only 1 could go to the playoffs, it definitely should be ND. But Miami beat ND& losses to solid 8-4 SMU/8-4 Louisville aren’t nearly bad enough to erase Miami beating ND. Purely a FB stance

I’m getting more and more salty about this. This is genuinely pathetic and just reeks of entitlement from an institution that ALWAYS gets favorable treatment from the powers that be. Pre-season rankings they don’t deserve, benefit of the doubt with SoS, and constant attention

Just a reminder that Notre Dame is the worst. The ACC rescued them — without any favor asked in return — back in 2020 and this is how they react for missing the CFP while the ACC, god forbid, advocated for Miami. Add it to the reasons the Irish are actually the villains of CFB.

The ACC does permanent damage to Notre Dame by winning against them on the field to earn a playoff spot. The audacity of Miami to actually win a game against Notre Dame. How dare they win a game against Notre Dame.

Pete Bevacqua is a smart guy and I get his frustration but to point the finger at the ACC is crazy. They didn’t randomly choose to single out ND. They played a game vs each other! And because the committee chose NOT to compare them, the ACC had no choice but to focus on it.

Am I missing something? Was the ACC supposed to promote a non football member over an actual ACC football member? The Head to Head result of Miami/ND was all the committee needed. I’m legit asking what I’m missing as I’m not sure I understand what ND expected the ACC to do.

The problem with the CFP selections this year was the FORCED inclusion of two G5 programs, Tulane and JMU, which don’t belong in the 2025 CFP. Simple as that.

To think Miami, which can play with anyone, wouldn't be in this if BYU wasn't beaten soundly and Canes weren't put "back to back" with ND because committee couldn't compare them otherwise and they were fibbing about the whole quadrant thing

Miami got to play in the national title game because it played in -- and won -- a premier noncon matchup. You may have forgotten that. It was six weeks ago.
