One fatal cultural flaw of ours is the collective inability to appreciate how politics at every level impacts on the most minute detail of your everyday personal life forever. E.g there’s an invisible yet straight line between your government and your height/dentition/genes, etc.

Kinda crazy seeing young women vs older women thing on twitter. Rihanna looked like this too. She has children and at a different point in her life. You one day will too, I hope people are kind to you as your body changes and you're older.

The gravity of bad governance isn’t obvious in things you can immediately see or measure. E.g the actual tragedy of kids not feeding properly today isn’t just stunted growth. It’s the consequences of stunted growth e.g self esteem, career/earning potential, dating options, etc.

This ruined the Nigerian labour market. You work for years, earning a peanut salary and then get laid off or retire without any proper benefits.
