Today great propagation on 15m.
Transmitting a row of dots (letter E) on 21347 MHz and receiving two dots (letter I) in the antipodes (ZL2VH webSDR).
The 2nd dot is weaker and delayed 140 msec as a result of a second path around the globe

25 dB of signal to noise at the QO-100 satellite with a 17 turn helix antenna and 5 watts

Amazing to see how a short length of twisted wire, some lego pieces and 5W can reach a path of +36,000 km so nicely

What a great hobby Amateur Radio is!

Transmitting in 15 meters a string of CW dots in fast QSK and receiving its subsequent echoes

Design of my brand new home made Moxon-yagi antenna for 18 MHz and 50MHz
Great F/B on 17m and very low SWR across the band

Last week my home made dual band 17m + 6m antenna was first installed. Among the first contacts on 50 MHz are today's QSOs with Hawaii vía long path.
Thanks to NH6Y and KH6HI for FB contacts ! 😃

I myself have visited the ICOM factory in Wakayama and have been able to witness what (used to?) was an exhaustive quality control process. Therefore my absolute dismay.

Finding a rig straight out of the box that doesn't work is something absolutely unheard of.

My brand new ICOM IC-9700 just taken out of the box does not turn on...

What happened with Icom's legendary Quality Control???? 😫
