US History students are analyzing Civil War Speeches to find common themes that lead to the Civil War. They are using these speeches to create their own speech. Students are required to use 3 speeches without consecutive sentences from each speech. #chsjourneyforward

This is awesome. Having Ss analyze primary sources like this allows them to dig deeper into their meanings. It allows them to gain a better understanding of historical events.

My Economic students are applying knowledge of monopoly systems through exploration within the Mr. Monopoly board game. Students are required to cooperatively maintain a budget sheet that includes assets, liabilities, revenue, expenses, and equity. #chsjourneyforward

My US History classes are taking on the role of people who lived during the Civil War. Students are writing 2 letters from the perspective of their given profiles to 2 other classmates. They are required to use a list of vocab words in each of their letters. #chsjourneyforward
