Good times at work just keep rolling in. Making this with my mates for #Diretide 2020 was super fun.

A little behind the scenes of the #Hoodwink debut for the latest #Dota2 #Mistwood update. It helps to use cubes to figure out timing and staging early on, then other departments can get moving, and you can just hang the character performance off of that cube as you go.

Some more cube process stuff. This was for the #Dota2 #AghanimsLabyrinth update and I was using a cube early on to scruff out ideas for a mouse who would help motivate the establishing camera move. Tusk, the hero with the hammer, was animated by the legendary Mike Belzer.

A few times I've heard 'reaction shots' can be seen as unglamorous or lackluster for animators. They can actually be the key turning point for a character in their story. This one is utterly captivating, my favourite shot in the movie. (Midsommar / 2019 / Ari Aster).
