48 years ago tonight, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band played their first gig in Austin, Texas at the Armadillo World Headquarters, to a sold-out crowd of 1,500 concertgoers. This was during The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle tour in 1974.
