I think I can honestly say that was the worst call that has negatively affected my team in a one-score game where I don’t blame the loss on the call at all. The miscues, poor play calling, and general incompetence was far more frustrating than any missed call.

Sports are special because I just cried at a video of a Mumford and Sons show being stopped mid-song because the Milwaukee crowd erupted when the Brewers won. An arena full of humans already high on life, getting another jolt of happiness. Sports and music can save us.

The absolute best thing Cyclone fans can do at this stage is abandon any hope for a Big 12 title run, sell out JTS for the next three games and get some quality wins protecting home turf, and set yourself up for a shot at back-to-back 10-win seasons. Even that is optimistic.
