#23 - Treat Networking Like Making Friends We've always found that the key to networking is to be genuine, and to show sincere interest in the people you talk to and the work they’re doing.

#24 - What Prep Work Should You Do Before You Begin Networking? Online Portfolio, Spotlight, Equity, Social Media, Email, or an Elevator Pitch (if someone asks what you do, have a short 30 second pitch of what makes you and your work so interesting). It's a business!! 🚀

#25 - What Are Some In-Person Networking Ideas? Industry Conferences, Spotlight events, Equity, Mixing Networks, @FlairboxCo, @Frances_bell_, Networking Groups, Shows, Galleries, co-working spaces, theatres! Think outside the box!!

#26 - What Happens After the Email? Networking is more than just the initial meeting - it’s an ongoing process of keeping in touch.

#27 - Keep up with new work If you keep up with who the innovators, creators and movers-and-shakers in the business are, you'll never be stuck for something to say either on Twitter or at meetups. New work should naturally draw you in.

#28 - This next one might sound obvious...Be on your best behaviour. Be humble when describing your work, and afford others the same respect for their career paths and passions as they do for yours.

#29 - Set reasonable expectations. Yes, networking boosts your chances of being seen or opening a few more doors. But the truth is… most opportunities from networking (even the ones that sound incredibly promising) won't lead anywhere. At least not right away. Stay patient! 👌

#30 - Our last piece of advice...Take a moment to appreciate how incredible it is to be a modern actor and feel empowered by that: *Devices = Produce YOUR OWN projects *Social media - HUGE outreach *Streaming services = MORE work *Self-taping = AUDITION remotely #actorslife
