I reallllly wish that journalists would not take what politicians say verbatim but apply some critical thinking. “Louisiana governor bans critical race theory” is a choice when what they are *actually* banning are any/all discussions on race & racism—which is not the same as CRT!

A big part of why my project This Is Not a Drill collects stories on active shooter drills is bc there's no proof they save lives -- they actually train potential shooters. So, then, we have to ask why we force children to practice for attempted murder? What damage does it cause?
