I woke up at 5 AM for my first work commute in 4 years 🥱 It’ll be an adjustment going back to the office lol. Luckily my ride is super cute.

Exercised before 7 AM, finished reading 1 book this week (almost done with a 2nd), and learned a lot at my new job. Looking forward to streaming Age of Mythology Retold, and hanging out with friends this Labor Day weekend. I’ve been feeling really fucking good!!

I have officially retrained as a phlebotomist as of 3pm today. As one person, I represent 25+ years of game experience and knowledge the industry loses because of this fuckery. Now picture the combined experience lost across the field. It will set games back for decades.

My work team put me to the test. They reassured me that the challenge was part of the learning process and to not feel bad. It was fun af and I think I ended up fixing some of their systems. Then went home to a tasty home-cooked dinner from bf. That was a nice end to my week 🥰

Ugh another expensive price hike. I canceled Netflix ($22/mon), Disney/Hulu subscriptions. I stopped subbing and watching Twitch streams because of the ensuing ads. Amazon Prime is at least a good deal for free shipping and watching shows. 50% off if you have student discount!

Bad news: Fentanyl man on my commute went crazy and started screaming and attacking the bus. Made me miss my work train 🥺 Good news: I got to finally try out the cute cannoli shop situated right next to my train station lol 😋

Twitch appreciation post cos no Twitchcon for me: I miss seeing everyone! Twitch made me amazing friends and the community has been good to me from going thru pandemic years, getting laid off, job hunt, and finally landing on my feet. Hope to see everyone in person again! 💜
