There are a lot of complexities when it comes to implementation of schemes in the rural landscape. Even after getting access to schemes the end result is not what was envisioned and such is the story of Sumitra, a Sahariya woman residing in Gokulpur.

This was the first time that this Sahariya family visited the hospital to seek medical help. Zenith has been working with them over the year and assisted them in the hospital as well. For tribal families, access to healthcare services is a big thing given the constraints.

PVTGs or Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups, are the most marginalized communities in our country. The Sahariyas are one such community, identified to be PVTGs by the Central Governement. Learn more about what this means and how it affects them in the following slides!

Zentih in collaboration with the Legal Aid Cell of Jiwaji University, and the District Legal Services Authority interacted with Sahariya women and took account of their grievances with the aim to address these issues and hold the concerned authorities responsible.
