A 7-0 Duke run puts the Blue Devils on top 29-28 as we hit the under-5 timeout in the second. Shooting seems to be a zero-sum game today.

Temira Poindexter hit a 3 ... but she stepped out of bounds before firing. Ashlon Jackson hits one at the other end. She has 17, and Duke's on a 12-0 run, leading 34-28.

Turnovers are mounting for the Wildcats. They have 8 with 3 minutes left in the first half. Six in the second quarter.

Kansas State goes into halftime down 37-31 after scoring just 3 points in the last 6 1/2 minutes of the second quarter. The Wildcats had no answer for Ashlon Jackson, who has 20.

Duke shot 41% in the first half -- though everyone except Jackson combined to go 26%. K-State was 39% but had nine fewer attempts thanks to 9 turnovers and 8 Blue Devil offensive boards.

The most points K-State has given up to an opposing player this year is 15 points ... but Ashlon Jackson for Duke has 20 at halftime.

Duke's defense has been rock-solid on the perimeter and has caused headaches for K-State's guards, making it difficult to get the ball inside.

Kansas State's still in it, of course. But Duke has outscored the Wildcats 37-20 since falling behind 11-0, so it feels like the first couple minutes of the third quarter will be enormous in determining the tone of the rest of the game.

It's had a scorebug all through halftime -- even during breaks. It's a different scorebug than the one that made a brief appearance in the first half. And the score is wrong. But, you know. Let's not be greedy.

K-State is just gifting things to Duke right now with turnovers and offensive rebounds. The Blue Devils have 21 points off turnovers and on second-chance opportunities. Duke's up 47-38 midway through the third.

Things are getting awful ugly for the Wildcats. They have six turnovers in the quarter, allowing Duke to pull ahead 55-41 with 2:02 left in the third.

Four Wildcat guards have multiple turnovers. Three have three. Duke's defense has been stringent since it fell behind 11-0.

Work to do for the Wildcats. They trail 58-46 at the end of the third. They shot better in that period, but Duke matched them shot for shot ... and then some. K-State has left 6 points at the foul line.

Both teams are shooting 43%. It's just that Duke has 53 attempts and six 3-point makes. K-State has 40 attempts and two 3-point makes.

Tough day for K-State's young Kansans, Taryn Sides and Zyanna Walker. One point and seven turnovers combined.

It's now a career-high 26 points for Ashlon Jackson. Duke leads 65-50 with 7:10 left.
