Later, he said his physical build prevents him from wearing a bigger size.

Got to stop back in Iowa for the weekend and was able to see some cool looking low cloud movement as the gust front came through Ames! #iawx

Had some pop up thunderstorms move in to the Council Bluffs area last. Not too much lightning as the storm was relatively weak and short lived, but I was able to catch these two CG strikes!

Was also able to see some pretty amazing lightning last week! The first photo was from southwest Iowa on May 7th, and the other two were taken just southwest of Ames on May 8th. #iawx #lightning

Finally have been able to edit photos from my chases last week with school getting out! These were some better shots from the mammatus clouds we saw on May 6. #iawx

Won’t be helping with the aurora spam here, but this was my view from near Gilbert, IA! Incredible how clearly you could see their colors and movement with the naked eye as well.

A year ago today just after midnight, I was able to capture the most amazing lightning bolt I’ve ever seen north of Ankeny, Iowa. Hoping to see some more like this soon!

After we finished chasing the cell that had produced the rope tornado Tuesday, we were able to see some awesome lightning as the linear system passed us on our way back to Ames!
