The series is told in first person plural with each issue shifting in POV between the scientists on our team.

It's fans of ANNIHILATION, HP Lovecraft, Kim Stanley Robinson, Micheal Crichton (SPHERE and JURASSIC PARK) and Clive Barker. And of course ALIEN and PROMETHEUS.
