Yeah I just don't know if I feel comfortable buying Marathon anymore, man. So much of its aesthetic is blatantly stolen from a struggling artist, and I feel kinda ashamed for even expressing love for it in the first place. This is extremely fucked on all levels lol

The thing about this marathon situation is that it's not just a few assets and posters copy pasted. It's a whole aesthetic, a whole vibe, setting the tone for everything. The plagiarism is woven into the DNA (Below pics are from the artist,not Marathon btw)

Ok, but this is more than just a few in-game textures. There’s a whole visual language in N²’s portfolio that is dripping in the same art style as new Marathon years before the game was even announced. It was all over the ARG too.
