Jammu Police, South Zone has intensified the manhunt in the Gangyal firing case. Despite arresting four accused, two remain absconding. Hue and Cry Notices and Look Out Circulars have been issued to trace them. Raids continue under the supervision of senior officers.

Two drug peddlers were arrested and 2.05 kg of ganja-like substance was recovered by R.S. Pura Police Station near Chakrohi. FIR No. 114/2025 was registered under NDPS Act. The operation was led by SHO R.S. Pura under the supervision of senior officers.

Jammu Police arrested wanted criminal Imam Hussain, involved in Baribrahmana police attack, from Bishnah. He was evading arrest in multiple FIRs. The operation was led by SHO Bishnah under senior supervision. Further investigation into his network is ongoing.

Jammu Police South Zone booked four suspected drug peddlers under preventive sections at PS Bagh-e-Bahu and seven others at PS Channi Himmat for disturbing public order. Actions were taken under SSP Jammu’s supervision to curb drug menace and maintain peace across the region.

A stolen motorcycle (JK02BV 5389) reported at PS Janipur was recovered by PS Bagh-e-Bahu. Accused Chetan, S/O Ashok Kumar, R/O Chopra Shop Udhampur, A/P Valmiki Colony, was apprehended. The bike was handed over to PS Janipur for further legal action.

SP Rural Jammu Sh. Brijesh Sharma, JKPS, along with SDPO Domana and other officers, paid tribute to martyr Ct. Karan Singh at his native village Shamachak on his 22nd death anniversary. Floral tributes were offered; officers also met the martyr’s family to express solidarity.

Jammu Police booked notorious drug peddler Manpreet Singh @ Sartaj of Simbal Camp under PIT-NDPS Act and lodged him in District Jail Udhampur. He was repeatedly involved in drug trade despite past arrests. Locals appreciated police efforts in curbing the menace.

Jammu Police solved a theft case in Gajansoo under PS Kanachak, recovering ₹40,000 stolen cash. One accused and a juvenile were apprehended after a complaint by a woman from Galwadey Chak. The juvenile has been sent to RS Pura Juvenile Home. Investigation continues.
