Congratulations to our Year 8s who achieved first prize in the Post Primary Choral Verse in Irish Derry Féis today. Sincere thanks to Mrs Devlin, Head of Irish, for her excellent work in preparing our pupils. We are so proud of our pupils.

Unquestionably the educational landscape has changed post Covid and the funding model for schools is simply not fit for purpose. The continuous erosion of this already inadequate funding is beyond disheartening. I despair, I really do. Deprivation instead of investment.

Hard to describe the hugely positive impact this funding had on the lives of so many young people in many of our schools. Devastating for all the children and families impacted, and the staff who will lose their jobs and the school staff who will try to pick up the pieces.

Saturday Wellbeing Club, a partnership between Lisneal College & St Mary's College, will resume tomorrow, Saturday 3rd February. Pupils can choose from a range of activities including Horse-riding, Bowling, Nail Art, Cookery and MineCraft club. All activities are free of charge.
