I’m really excited to share our new preprint on using Patch-seq to look into crosstalk between microglia and neurons, led by @keonarbabi and January Jiang from my lab! biorxiv.org/content/10.110… Tweetprint below. (1/15)

And we finalized! Happy merge all. This is a big moment for the Ethereum ecosystem. Everyone who helped make the merge happen should feel very proud today.

I've always been mocked about saying that doing cold water and breathing are very good against cancer. I've been saying this everywhere regardless of the mockery and insults. Now this is proof. nature.com/articles/s4158…

These are exciting times. There's a sense that AI will change everything, including how science is done. Implicit in this excitement is the hope that everything will change for the better. Let’s look at that. First, we need to define “better.”

we know there is a diversity of cell types, network topographies, and other physiological mechanisms that shape network dynamics. can we include them all while automating fitting spiking networks to real brain data? Poster III-38 tonight at #cosyne23

We held a reading group on Transformers (watched videos / read blog posts / studied papers by Lucas Beyer (bl16) Andrej Karpathy Chris Olah Aman Arora Jay Alammar Sasha Rush et al.), and now I _finally_ roughly understand what attention does. Here is my take on it. A summary thread. 1/n

Happy to share I started a position at ChampalimaudResearch . As you can see the research will be unknown. I won't know what I'll be doing. Maybe my supervisor Il Memming Park will know, however.

I heard that someone put my arXiv post on twitter (Thanks Guillaume Dumas & Guillaume Lajoie), so I briefly returned to tag the authors: Piotr Sokol and @AbelSagodi. #rnn #neuralDynamics #theoreticalNeuroscience

A new preprint that revives the theory of continous attractors that may be surprising to you! Despite their mathematical fragility, we show that they are functionally *robust*. No wonder we see approximate continuous attractors in neuroscience often. arxiv.org/abs/2408.00109
