When I visited Italy, I noticed that I walked everywhere. I walked to get pizza, walked to get gelato, and walked back to my hotel. Italians even have a term (passeggiata) for the leisurely strolls they take after dinner. In the US, cities are much more oriented around cars.

So Ichiba Japan Centre - the best Japanese food market in London, is serving an amazing dine-in Katsu Curry for £5 flat today... and yet the restaurant was almost empty when I went just now! Either Londoners are mad, or they didn't market it very well! 🍛🙀

Checked in w/ family in Italy RE olive oil. Main cause of bad harvest was Xylella, a disease carried by insects that were thriving (v. unusual & possibly linked to hotter climate). We usually harvest in November, & 2023 (supplies late 2024/5) is much better than previous years.🫒
