This week we attended the Seafood Expo Global Awards where two products from our Gastro Taste of Asia range were selected as finalists in the Best Retail Product Award category.

Although we didn't win, we're honoured to be among the top contenders worldwide. Congrats to all! 🎉

It’s been another busy year at Young’s, from launching new products, to strengthening our #CSR the entire team has been working hard.

We’re taking a break until the new year, so until then we’d like to wish all of our colleagues and customers a fantastic festive period.

Did you know our HQ is over 50 years old?

Our 135 feet high, 10 storey HQ Young's House, formerly Ross House was unveiled in #Grimsby Docks in October 1965. The building was designed with a curved frontage resembling a trawler’s bridge, as an ode to our local #fishing #heritage

Last month we had the pleasure of welcoming the Norwegian Ambassador and Seafood Council team to Young's. It was an invaluable visit which allowed discussions on future collaborative working to develop stronger links between Norway and the UK's seafood industries🐟

We've been working closely with Norwegian fisheries to advise them on an action plan for regaining their #MSC certification of inshore cod and haddock stocks. We're pleased to share, as of this month, they have gained their MSC recertification.

#WorldFisheriesDay is about highlighting the importance of healthy ocean ecosystems to ensure sustainable stocks of fish across the world. We do our bit year-round by working with MSC in the UK to support fishery improvement projects.

Yesterday we were visited by #MadeGreatInGrimsby ’s Seafood Industry Programme. Our team led a session on the great careers & job opportunities in the Grimsby seafood sector.

We’re proud to support this great initiative & the important work they do for our community.

We believe serving fish on a Friday is a vital part of the UK's school culture, which is why we're supporting #NSMW2023

Last year we visited Manor Farm Infant School to teach the children about sustainable fishing & how to make fish fingers!

Recently Group CSR Manager Will Davies, visited SINTEF's Flume Tank in Hirtshals, Denmark which replicates fishing methods in an observable environment.

Will joined leaders in industry & governmental groups using the Flume Tank to explore sustainable fishing practices.
