The spring seagrass planting season was a success!🎉 Our Wilder Humber restoration team worked over 5 days to plant a whopping 38,000 seagrass seeds, using 4 planting methods over 5 acres of the Humber🌱Delivered by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust & Lincs Wildlife Trust in partnership with Ørsted UK 🌊

Toothwort - a weird, leafless, parasitic flowering plant devoid of chlorophyll that satisfies all its water & nutritional requirements by tapping into the roots of hazel.

These were spotted by Pete, one of our Reserves Assistants in the West, at Hetchell Wood last month.
