I lost my brother to a ruptured #aneurysm abt 21 years ago. At the time, despite being quite aware of strokes, we’d never heard of an aneurysm & that too in a healthy man of 27y. Heartening to see progress that saves precious lives. Kudos to #Science.

A #robot device from Yoonho Kim at the Xuanhe Zhao lab could enhance #neurosurgery #teleoperations for #strokes and #BrainAneurysms – situations where timing is crucial and specialists may not be nearby. 📎: fcld.ly/5bn4bmb

Some agree to review to know what the competition is up to Some do it as a favor Some do it to screw their competitors or enemies (don't tell me it doesn't happen) And... there are SAINTS who do it to improve science. Not sure that a system that's built on saints is sustainable

7/n. Better performances. While the neurosurgeon has been trained >4y for manual operation and only ~1h with our robot, the operation time with the robot is shorter. The robot also avoids multiple undesirable steerings which may be intrinsically unavoidable for J guidewires.
