#Tigray: more than 2M people faced to famine in 196 Tabias of 5 zones in 32 districts of Tigray. In the last two months > 400 peples died due to starvation. The IPC classification IPC-5 which is catasrophic. Thus, it needs emergency response for our people. #TigrayFamine

Tigray Interim Administration has established Regional Emergency Response Team to tackle the current starvation that causes deaths in different districts and IDP camps after aid is halted. The team should focus on coordination and providing organized information to all partners!

It is good to see the #Gunda Gundo Orange adaptation research at Tigray TARI at Rama, Cen. Zone of Tigray is some how survived from the war. I hope the other research sites of MU (Adwa, Werkaemba , Agulae, Alamata) are also alive. It was a joint effort of TARI, REST and MU.
