Traditional foods such as the 'hinompot' (rice cooked and wrapped in leaves), and nomsom bambangan (a type of mango pickle) are served during the Harvest Festival (Pesta Kaamatan). May your future be bountiful and prosperous. Selamat Tadau Kaamatan!

Some rituals during Hari Gawai are ngajat dance, sword dance (bepencha) or self-defence martial art (bekuntau) performance with a tree of life called ranyai serving as a backdrop. Selamat Hari Gawai to our Sarawakian friends and have a meaningful merrymaking!
