Our u18 Boys played in their first Junior Grand Prix on Saturday, hosted by Royal Wootton Basset VC. v Weymouth Tsunami lost 2-0 (25-21; 30-28) v Taunton won 2-0 (25-10; 25-14) v Royal Wootton Bassett 1-1 draw (25-19; 23-25) Ended 2nd overall #volleyballengland #juniorgrandprix

Our SW Men hosted their 2nd fixture of the season yesterday: v Bristol VC 3:0 v Weymouth VC 3:1 unlucky not to take to at least a 5th! Post match the team trialled a new debrief venue: not enough Ls on their play wall, but great food & drink Yes they're samples but not that type!

Last weekend it was just the club's Yeovolley Men in action in the BDVA league on Saturday. MVP v Bristol VC U18 Boys: Sean for taking onboard "in-match" coaching advice which then positively impacted the game. MVP v Cardiff Lynx: Divin for his strong serving. #volleyball

YVC’s BDVA men played on Saturday. They lost a close 1st game 2-0 to Weston Pal, coach's MVP: Keian(9) for hitting & serving 2nd game of the day was against Cardiff Jaguars. YVC won comfortably 2-0, coach's MVP: setter Divin(14) for control & teamwork #volleyballengland

Both our SW teams played on Sunday. The women lost to Bristol VC 3:1 MVP: Franciska. Normal service was resumed in the 2nd match with a 3:0 win vs Bassett Royals MVP: Jenny The men's team beat PMVC 3:2. In the 2nd match the team lost 0:3 to Exeter Storm. MVPx2: James #volleyball

Today we are hosting a T2 pool tournament of the final round of Volleyball England's u18 Grand Prix. If you are around and want to watch some junior volleyball please pop in. Matches start at 9am. Our mixed team are also playing in Bristol in the BDVA local league. #volleyball

In their 1st match of the u18 GP tournament on Sat, YVC lost 2:1, 16-14 in the 3rd set, to WVC. 2nd match they won 2:0 vs New Forest. YVC vs Taunton postponed - schedule over-run Yeovil Mixed incl some new players for their 1st matches on Sat. No wins but experience gained!

Last 2 games for our men in the B&D league today 1st was a hard fought one v Bristol VC u18 Boys with BVC winning 2-0. Coach's MVP: Rob(13) for his consistent hitting all game 2nd was also close v Cardiff Lynx, YVC taking it 2-1 in the end. Coach's MVP’s: Sean(12) & Przemek(7)

Our mixed team were our last team to finish their season on Sat. Playing top half of the table opponents the team started well, winning the 1st set. However Hornets settled and took the 2nd set. Despite Yeovolley battling in the 3rd they lost 11-15 #volleyballengland
