Delighted to attend Yeats Society IRL Olympic Centenary event this morning to celebrate Jack B Yeats' silver medal for art from the 1924 games, with a fascinating insight by Hilary Pyle.
We celebrated Jack #Yeats’ silver medal and Oliver StJohn Gogarty’s bronze medal in #Paris #Olympics 1924 last #Saturday and sent our warm #Sligo wishes to Team Ireland & how happy we are to see Sligo’s #Mona bring home a great victory. Huge congratulations

Our public reading of The Country Girls begins Wednesday August 21st 1pm in the #Yeats Building #Sligo Members of the public are invited to join in & pay tribute to #Edna O’Brien, great #woman, great #writer - aiming to finish by Saturday. All welcome Irish Literary Times Sligo County Council
