The main character/mob culture of Old Twitter was bad. So is the rampant racist invective and financially-incentivized viral blue-check fabulism of New Twitter. The real takeaway here is that the net negatives of this platform for society have outweighed the good for some time.

Trump has lost every presidential debate except for the last one, according to post-debate polling. To beat him, you just have to show up and let him alienate the audience with his conspiracies and weird online obsessions. Biden didn't show up last time. Kamala did. Game over.

Some folks are complaining about the moderation because they can't publicly complain about their candidate. It's displaced rage, knowing that a half-competent contender wouldn't ramble about bizarre online conspiracies nobody has heard of, wouldn't get baited into debates about
