In advance of this weekend's Ontario Police Memorial Foundation Ceremony of Remembrance we gathered to honour our York Regional Police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice. We are especially grateful to the members of Survivors of Law Enforcement who stood with us in remembrance. Your strength inspires us all.

Honoured to host and spend time with SOLE (Survivors of Law Enforcement) at this weekend's retreat. Today’s lunch served as a powerful reminder of the unbreakable bonds within our policing community as they expressed gratitude for the many who support their vital work.

Today we remember Constable Edward Holdsworth who paid the ultimate price on May 15, 1966. While responding to a motor vehicle collision, Cst. Holdsworth approached the vehicle and tripped over one of the electrified wires hidden in tall grass and died as a result. #HeroesInLife
