YMLA Celebrated Principal Dixon for National Principal's Day. Students & staff wore Mr. Dixon's favorite color, provided lunch, & gave memorable gifts. Mr. Dixon leads with his heart, expects excellence, and believes in the best for all.

Students from YMLA's Leadership Groups participated in the Cinco De Mayo Parade.  Thank you to YMLA for showing support for community, Mexican culture and heritage. Thank you to Mrs. Rivera, Chief Thomas, Mr. Salazar, Ms. Garrison and all those supporting the cause.

YMLA AVID leaders, under the direction of Mrs. Bowen traveled to UTA Arlington campus to explore college opportunities. Students learned about continuing education, college life, and about academic programs available at UTA .

YMLA Teacher Appreciation Cont.  Teachers enjoyed custom-made chips, popcorn, chicken dinner and a Longhorn goody bag.  Thanks to administration for coordinating and providing uplifting treats, affirmations and dinners for all teachers/staff.

YMLA AVID Leaders provided "Room Service" to all teachers and staff members during teacher appreciation week. Orders were taken and  fulfilled, and there were even heartfelt affirmations or appreciation.   Thanks to all AVID leaders and Mrs. Bowen.

YMLA 6th grade leaders were celebrated for all their accomplishments and achievements.  YMLA families,  faculty members, and fellow students cheered on YMLA 6th grade leaders recognizing them for their perseverance and drive to finish the year strong!

YMLA 8th grade leaders didn't let rain put a damper on their end of year picnic.  Leaders enjoyed video games, basketball, soccer, and a grilled lunch.  Thank you to the leadership team, 8th grade teachers, school nurse, registrar, and our grill master Chief Thomas.

All YMLA staff, new and current AVID scholars and their families attended the AVID showcase and celebration! Attendees enjoyed food, play,  family bingo and celebrated achievements. The showcase included: * College and Career Readiness, AVID strategies, and AVID awards.
