This afternoon we are lucky enough to have the author Rachel Morrisroe in to school to talk about her new book. A big thank you to Linghams Bookshop books, toys and author events for organising this fabulous event. Gayton Primary
We are all competing in a Times Table Competition with lots of other Y4 children across the country today. We are currently first place! With bits of art and movement breaks throughout the day we hope we can keep our position! Gayton Primary
We’ve also been finishing our batik artwork today. We used fabric, glue and acrylic paint to create patterns. We made our patterns with glue, waited for them to dry, painted over them and then once dry rinsed the glue off. Gayton Primary
Take a tour of our Final Pieces of writing. We created an information page all about the rainforest. We included a formal tone, themed paragraphs, appropriate vocabulary, subheadings, images and fact boxes. We also had a big focus on our presentation. Gayton Primary
In PE we measured our heart rates/pulse before and after exercise. We also practised balancing with added challenge of either catching a ball, high knees or a small force. Gayton Primary
Following a very hot Sports Day this morning, we are spending the afternoon in the computer room exploring weather and collecting data. We are inputting data into Excel and learning how to sort it. Gayton Primary
