Nucleoporins (NUPs) compose the nuclear pores. As skin epidermal cells switch from the progenitor state to differentiation, NUPs are downregulated without changing pore numbers. Downregulation of NUP93 is further connected to NF-kB activation. nature.com/articles/s4200…
