Last week we finalised the training and calibrated ourselves in #Bosland before starting the fieldwork for our European Research Council (ERC) SPACETWIN project. First trip will be later this month to Berchtesgaden with @corneliussenf and Rupert Seidl.

We are not only collecting TLS data, but are also taking spectral measurements of leaves, bark and understory in both control and TFE plot.

Wrapping up 2 weeks of fieldwork with Wout Cherlet in Brazil's Atlantic Forest at ARAÇÁ Project and Antonelli Lab. Our main goal was to map the well-studied ficus tree from the ground & up in the canopy! [1/4]

Q-ForestLab Two members of our Q_Forestlab took part in the IGARSS2024 conference. We presented the "Quantifying forest dynamics using bi-temporal terrestrial laser scanning data" and "Benchmarking instance segmentation in terrestrial laser scanning point clouds" respectively.
