Across all nine provinces, a total of 528 competed in 28 skills such as Welding, Water Technology, Mobile Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical installation, Bricklaying, Beauty Therapy and Aircraft Maintenance, amongst others. #SkillsChangeLives #WorldSkillsZA #WorldSkills

Mr Fumane Mboweni, the Technical Delegate of WorldSkills South Africa, said that the hosting of the local and provincial heats of WorldSkills South Africa (WSZA) was successful, and that all attention now turns to preparations for the national competition next year.

“As the Technical Delegate of WorldSkills South Africa, I am immensely proud to acknowledge the successful completion of all nine Provincial WSZA Competitions and Career Exhibitions, which took place between 8 September and 31 October 2025, culminating in Limpopo.”

These competitions and career exhibitions have showcased the growing strength, innovation, and determination of South Africa’s young artisans, as well as the strong collaboration among TVET colleges, SETAs, industry partners and provincial structures. #SkillsChangeLives

WorldSkills has announced its newest member, marking a milestone with the induction of its 90th Member of WorldSkills International Algeria (DZ). The designated Member Organisation is the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education –WorldSkills Algeria. #WorldSkillsAlgeria

The Algerian Ministry of VTE is expected to attain full membership upon the successful completion of the required Official and Technical Delegates’ training programme, followed by ratification at the WorldSkills General Assembly scheduled for September in Shanghai.
