Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet has signed off a £4m programme of works to move closer to ‘Vision Zero’, eliminating deaths and serious injuries on the county’s roads. £1.6m will be spent on the junctions with the worst incident records, which could include the Plain in Oxford.

It sickens me when I see cheap clickbait like this, which only allows more and more drivers to think people on bicycles are trash... from the very same newspaper whose reporter, Mary Bowers, is still in a coma 13 years after a truck ran her over in London.

Perfect weather for some volunteering at the Woodstock Community Woodland and Orchard, and a first outing for my Specialized Hardrock, built up from a frame supplied by Warlands Cycles in Oxford

An emotional day as we say goodbye to Cycle Mechanic (and all-round wonderful guy) Kiro. True to form, he's spending the day hard at work loading 12 refurbished bikes for delivery to an East End School. A day of tears, laughter and cycling! #Bike #RefurbishedBike #Bicycle

Great to be in Magdalen Road this morning for the food festival. This is what safe, open, people-friendly streets can do. It’s wonderful. It works. Go and join in

The new pedestrian/cycle crossing near the A44 roundabout on Cassington Road, Yarnton, has finally got its paintwork. Much safer to cross here now. Could do with another at the Bladon roundabout - very fast and hazardous for NCN5 users Andrew Gant Oxfordshire County Council Cyclox

Andrew Gant As per email sent early Oct can you help with the safety of the pedestrian crossing at OX2 8HH roundabout? Its a route for Primary School children and they are left standing at this dangerous junction for up to 5 minutes in an area of high pollution and fast traffic
