Our elementary Ss put their math skills to the test this week at the Math Olympics! Ss worked hard as they solved, strategized, & had a blast with numbers! All participants deserve to be celebrated! Congratulations to the blue, green, & red teams for advancing.

Our future astronomers were star struck (pun intended!) watching the eclipse this week! Seeing the moon block out the sun was an out-of-this-world experience for our elementary students. The ooohs and aaahs made it all worth it!

What a marvelous & entertaining day it was at Tom Braddock! Yesterday, Ss & staff celebrated their love of language by participating in the first annual vocabulary costume challenge called, ' #wordywonders '. Ss designed costumes to represent a word & selected a class winner!

The Science League and 21st Century presented a Solar Eclipse Viewing Experience at Thewoo1902. Despite the cloudy weather, we were able to see a partial solar eclipse. Students had a good experience, with something that will not happen for another 40 years.

The Elementary Science Fair was a smash hit! From which chemical makes lipstick last the longest to meal worms eating styrofoam, the creativity and curiosity of our students were on full display. The judges were thoroughly impressed by the in-depth research and innovation.

What a fantastic turnout at the West End Memorial 'Around the World' Family Night! The community celebrated the rich tapestry of cultures within our West End families. Huge thanks to our incredible teachers for their meticulous planning and dedication to making this event a success!

Ss in Mrs. James & Ms. Sheldon's classes took part in a virtual field trip to learn about corn from the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The Ss learned all about the process from a farmer that showed their land & crops. Ss really enjoyed this experience.

Ss at The Woo Est.1902 recently took a trip to iFly. Ss had to have a 75 or higher in all classes, no more than two absences, & no more than one lateness to school to receive an invitation to the trip. 55 sixth graders were invited.

Congratulations to The Woo Est.1902 senior Andrew Sylvester who participated in a 5k race over the weekend. Along with brother Austin, Charlie Floyd, Peyton Shute, and Sebastian Falcone, Andrew sped through the streets of Haddonfield and finished as the first team for Ainsley’s Angels.

Shout out to 6th grader Christian Reed who won today's Pi Contest in Ms. Anderson's class! Christian could recite up to the 13th number! He then competed with 6th grade teacher Ms. Herrera who shocked the class by reciting up tp the 80th digit!

The Ss in the elementary schools were su-PI-sed with a math riddle challenge to celebrate the exciting math holiday, Pi Day! The winners in selected classrooms won some PI-sitively amazingly round prizes. Thanks to Mrs. Masi for leading this festive event.

Ss from The Woo Est.1902 attended the Kimmel Center to hear The Philadelphia Orchestra. This concert was part of the Jane H. Kesson School Concert Program, which is the ideal way to expose students to the exciting and powerful art form of orchestral music.
